When I first heard David Sedaris' "Santaland Diaries" on NPR, I joined in mid-session, listened for only a minute and turned the radio off because I wanted to catch it all from start to finish.
That was only five years ago. But it's been 25 years since Morning Edition listeners first met Crumpet the Christmas elf.
